Flumioxazin 51% WDG Select Herbicide is a concentrated water-dispersible granule formulation containing 51% flumioxazin, a Group 14 herbicide that inhibits protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO). Flumioxazin provides broad-spectrum weed control and can be used as a preemergence and/or postemergence herbicide on labeled sites.
The active ingredient provides effective control of many susceptible broadleaf weeds and certain grasses when applied according to the product label. Its residual activity also makes flumioxazin useful in weed-management programs where preemergence control is desired.

How Flumioxazin Works
Flumioxazin is a PPO-inhibiting herbicide. It interferes with an enzyme involved in chlorophyll and heme biosynthesis, resulting in rapid membrane disruption and death of susceptible plant tissue.
When used preemergence, flumioxazin can provide residual control of susceptible weeds as they germinate. Postemergence applications can provide contact activity against susceptible emerged weeds.
